Nancy Turner and Petunia
The staff at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in San Antonio have been known to go in to work on days when they weren't scheduled, just to see "Tunia." She is a winner at Methodist Hospital's Bone Marrow Transplant clinic. Children, often scared and weary, don't like to give blood or even have their blood pressure taken. So Petunia has her blood pressure taken at the same time. Smiles abound as she roles over on her back and instantly turns tears into smiles. She also performs her special French Bulldog miracles at Guadalupe Children's Advocacy Center in Seguin, Texas. She helps wipe away tears and fears from children who have undergone unspeakable things. This little dog has a unique ability to love everyone she meets. We are proud of Petunia and Nancy for the dedication they have to making the environment of children in distress a more friendly place to be.
